Before teaching, Vicki Quinn worked as an editor and writer in Chicago and Seattle. Then she decided to get her Master’s in education so that she could spend her days conversing with brilliant young people about art, music, literature, education, and the common human experience. More specifically, she is in her 15th year teaching IB English and Intro to Education, co-chairing the department, advising the school Yearbook, and leading the Educators Rising organization. Sometimes she writes essays for publications like Edutopia and other times she presents with Mrs. HR at IB World conferences in Chicago and Washington D.C. When she is not in the halls of Bay Port, you will find her reading, traveling with her family, practicing yoga or Pilates, or eating at their favorite restaurant, Mackinaws Grill & Spirits.
